The evidence base

Treatments I use — and why they work

Primary treatment

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

The most extensively researched therapy for anxiety, OCD, and depression. NICE recommends CBT as first-line treatment across all three.

Primary treatment

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. NICE-recommended for PTSD. Processes traumatic memories so they lose their grip on the present.

Adjunct approach

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

For values-based living and psychological flexibility. Particularly effective for perfectionism, burnout, and chronic anxiety.

Adjunct approach

Schema Therapy

For deeply rooted patterns from early experience. Used when standard CBT doesn’t reach the underlying structure of a problem.

Client outcomes

What people say after completing therapy

★★★★★
“After years of trying to manage my OCD on my own, Priya’s approach finally made the difference. The ERP was hard, but the science was explained every step of the way. I knew what we were doing and why.”
— Anonymous, OCD treatment — 2024
★★★★★
“The most rigorous and honest therapy I’ve experienced. I was told what the evidence said, not just reassured. Three months in, my anxiety score had halved according to the PHQ.”
